Genesis (Bere'shiyth) 7

1 Yahuah (Yah) said to Nuach (Noah), "Enter the ark, yourself and all yourself household, for I've seen that yourself are righteous before me in this generation. 2 Take with yourself seven pairs of every clean animal, the male and his mate; and of animals that aren't clean, take two, the male and his mate. 3 Also take seven pairs of the birds of the air, male and female, to keep their species alive on the face of all the earth. 4 In seven days, I'll cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I'll destroy every living thing I've made from the face of the earth." 5 Nuach did everything just as Yahuah (Yah) commanded him. 6 Nuach was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. 7 Nuach, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives went into the ark with him to escape the floodwaters. 8 From the clean animals, the animals that aren't clean, the birds, and everything that crawls on the earth, 9 they went into the ark to Nuach in pairs, male and female, just as Yahuah (Yah) had commanded Nuach. 10 After seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Nuach's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on 그날 that same day—all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights. 13 On that very day, Nuach entered the ark along with his sons—Shem (Shem), <span class="ytc-term" data-term="Cham" title="Means 'hot' or 'burnt.' Then Yahuah shut him in. 17 The flood continued for forty days on the earth. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, so it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters surged and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters. 19 The waters rose so much on the earth that all the high mountains under the entire heaven were covered.
