Genesis (Bere'shiyth) 44
1 He commanded the steward of his house, saying, "Fill the men's sacks with as much food as they can carry, and put each man's money in the opening of his sack. 2 "Put my silver goblet in the opening of the youngest one's sack, along with his grain money." The steward did exactly what Yoseph (Joseph) told him to do. 3 As soon as it was morning light, the men were sent away with their donkeys. 4 When they had left the city but weren't far away yet, Yoseph said to his steward, "Get up and follow the men! When yourself overtake them, say to them, 'Why have you repaid good with evil?'" 12 He searched, beginning with the oldest and ending with the youngest; the goblet was found in Binyamin's (Benjamin's) sack. 13 Then they tore their clothes in grief. Every man loaded his donkey, and they returned to the city. 14 When Yahudah (Judah) and his brothers came to Yoseph's house, he was still there; they threw themselves on the ground before him. 15 Yoseph said to them, "What have you done? Don't you know that a man like me can find things out through divination?" 16 Yahudah said, "What will we say to my master? What can we speak? How can we clear ourselves? Yahuah (Yah) has found out yourself servants' guilt. Look, we're my master's slaves—both we and the one who was found with the cup."
