Bury yourself dead in the finest of our burial places. None of us will withhold his tomb from yourself, so that yourself can bury yourself dead." ⁷ Avraham stood up and bowed down to the people of the land, the children of Chet. ⁸ He spoke with them, saying, "If you’re willing to let me bury my dead out of my sight, listen to me and intercede for me with Ephron (Ephron) the son of Tsochar (Zohar), ⁹ so that he may give me the cave of Machpelah (Machpelah), which he has at the end of his field. Let him give it to me in your presence for the full price as a permanent burial place." ¹⁰ Now Ephron was sitting among the children of Chet. Accept it from me, and I’ll bury my dead there." ¹⁴ Ephron answered Avraham and said to him, ¹⁵ "Master, listen to me: a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what’s that between me and yourself? Go ahead and bury yourself dead."
